This tutorial covers the steps needed to prepare a PC, download the necessary modified system files and move them to an Odroid U3 (running Android 4.1.2 ) in order to create Giant Android Tablet.

Please read the Hardkernel Odroid February 2014 Magazine - Giant Android Tablet article for background information. It explains how to compile your own Kernel for a touchscreen, which is not included here.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If your Ethernet / Wifi does not work, you need to adb push your downloaded .ko files to your Odroid U3 at:


For example, navigate to your downloaded .ko files on your USB and then using the Terminal application in Ubuntu type:

adb remount
adb push scsi_wait_scan.ko /system/lib/modules

etc for all of the eight .ko files


Source Files

As per the GNU General Public License, Version 2, June 1991 the modified source files are included in each download (hid-multitouch.c and hid-ids.h).

They are here for your reference or to modify yourself but are not needed to be used if you are using the ready compiled Kernel
